As a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your best person, and remember your goals and dreams, so you can live the best life for yourself. While we can’t change difficult situations of the past, together we can work to help you better understand and resolve problem areas in your life. I am committed to you having compassion for yourself, being patient with yourself, and loving yourself.
About Me
My Education & Experience
As the Founder of Brown Eye Therapist and Consulting, PLLC, Kimberly has spent the last five years of her career working as a school counselor and a therapist in private practice.
After graduating from Clark Atlanta University she spent the first 15 years of her professional career working in Public Health, in the private and public sectors. In the first part of her career in Public Health, she worked in her hometown of Wadesboro NC, with the Parish Nurse Health Ministry helping churches in the rural community establish health ministries. It was during this time she discovered how past life experiences can influence the decisions individuals make in the present. While working she begins to notice the connection between emotions and food selection from program participants.
When she begin my master’s program her focus was on Emotional Eating and the past life experiences the individual was not able to face. Kimberly had the pressure of completing her internship at Transcend, Eating Disorder Partial Hospitalization. She worked as a middle school counselor for 4 years. Kimberly has been working in private practice since 2020. She has experience with adolescents, teenagers, adults, and couples. Kimberly takes a personalized approach to treatment style, which includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and/ or Pyscho-education.
